Phone Mount Options

Recently completed my custom install (based on the "DirectFit" phone mount), and I gotta say..

Easily the sturdiest, cleanest, most-minimal phone mount I've ever had! Not bad for $10, and literally supports ANY mount or device you'd want.

Mine was made to work with the iOttie iTap2 wireless magnetic charger, and I couldn't be happier.

Happy to break down the materials ($5 brass billet + $5 universal 17mm GPS ball mount), but it's fairly straightforward / non-destructive, and uses only stock hardware.

Did I mention it's clean?

I'll do a full write-up if people are interested. I can probably draw up a template, as well.

And thanks about the EJECT button! Haha.. I had that 3D printed, and filled with enamel paint, then buffed. It takes the place of the stock cover, with a bit of adhesive!

Pretty sure it was the very first thing that I added to the car!

Yeah I dont think either of those are going to be a problem. Lots of people are using it and I've never heard a complaint about it.
If that does become an issue, the dash panel is easily replaced. Used ones are all over eBay for fairly cheap
