I know exactly where you are coming from Melbnut...except the car is for my wife...and she is grumpier about it than I am.
I play with cars and bikes as a release from my job...it is pretty stressfull and high pressure....the mustang was supposedly something to take my mind off work.....it has so far not helped a lot...or should I say, the waiting has not helped a lot....

I get the daily question "Is your Mustang here yet" to which I repeat what ever feeble excuse has been handed to me by my dealer.

I was thinking yesterday, if we weren't on this forum we would have no idea what is happening with or to the car.

We would likely pick up the car expecting to see the US model but RHD, instead we are receiving the Mustang's cheaper Australian cousin. At no stage has Ford publicly let anyone know what changes there are to the car.

And, funnily enough, there was the opportunity for my questions during the phonecall.

I didn't really have any more because we know enough already...and didn't really want to ruin the bloke's [difficult] day job either.

But you're right, everything we've learned about all the finer details have not been outlined anywhere. It's easy to hide under the 'overseas model shown' banner, but I think it may have been better for Ford to have been a touch more transparent with a car that would be getting fine tooth combed like this.

Things like UK getting the NCO seat colour choices and us missing out still really irks me. Guard+saddle would have been incredible.

Received my phone call from Ford HQ, delivery has been pushed back again. Now being told 1st quarter 2016, they are saying 60 days from blend date is the build time.

That's interesting because my build date was also 14/10 and I was told yesterday during my phone call that they were expecting delivery before Christmas.

I wonder if something has changed overnight?

Well maybe this is why the ford au Facebook team have gone silent.. my two followup questions have been "seen" and ignored...

Well done ford. Well done making the transition from builder to importer and completely failing. Who is actually running the comms and marketing for this launch? I would LOVE to speak with them and i am not kidding. Not in a rude way but a constructive wth are you doing way.

So is your car actually built?? I see you have a build date
The build started on 14/10/2015, according to their 60 day rule that means the car will finalise build on 13/12/2015.

Take into account 35 days shipping that makes it 24/01/2016 assuming that the car is shipped a week after build is finalised.

Then add a couple of weeks faffing about and we are looking at 07/02/2016, which fits in rather nearly with the original extended delivery date of February 2016.
