I'll try setting mine to the lowest setting and finally using quiet mode to see if I can hear it today. I forgot there even was a beep until reading this thread.

Damn, I guess mine doesn't work or I'm just deaf. No worries though. I can live without the beep.

Originally thought this was one of the coolest features on our cars. In hindsight, i don't think they put enough thought into it's functionality. First, when you're pushing that Voodoo beast to 8200 rpms, the indicator lights really aren't in your field of view, at least not if your eyes are focused on where you're going!!! Second, they all light up the same, so there's no way to tell when you're at redline? It would make more sense to have the last 4 or 6 lights in RED, giving you a hint that it's time to shift! Just my .02.....

Still an amazing car :headbang::headbang::ford:
Looks like Ford did put enough time and thought in it, yes..:shrug:

I really like them, they are in track mode so they meet in the middle. I have it set to 3K so it tells me hey, your Gas mileage is going to suck, shift now!!! lol I can easily hear the beep if I set at high RPM and with the windows down.

I plan on setting it to meet and flash in the middle at about 6000 RPM for autocross. That is one features I'm very excited about that feature because it tells me a more about what's going on with the car without having to think too much.

For autocross I find a setting between 7500 and 8000 works best, since the heads up indicators start about 2500 RPM below your set point. The only place you will find it useful is determining the most convenient place to shift into 2nd gear.
I also find that even on the larger autocross layouts, I don't wind up 2nd gear like I would like to.
A 4.10 gear in the rear would make this car much more responsive for the short tracks.
