Paxton hitting hood

Just finished up my Paxton Install and in the directions it does say you might have to trim the hood blanket for clearance.

I did that and I can get the hood to close but it's definitely still hitting the hood, I have to push down decently hard to close the hood

Anyone else have this issue?

let the hood drop from about 4-5 inches. The hood does not easily push close.

I had the same issue with mine. I removed the hood insulation and put a small washer between the latch on the hood and the hood and adjusted the hood stops up a tad. I have about 1/8th inch clearance between the top of the flute and bottom of hood.

I did something similar, put two washers on each stud between the hood and the hinges to prop the hood up a little bit. I also re-adjusted the latch in the front by moving it up and about so the hood can close easier. I also did some testing by putting a decent layer of polish on the highest part of the super charger (not too thick of a layer) and closed the hood from different heights to confirm if it was still hitting or not. Everything worked out OK once I made those adjustments, but mine was definitely hitting before as it took a tad bit of paint off the hood. Hope this helps!

yea, of all things, I used my kids silly putty across the top of the blower to measure clearance.

That's weird, mine cleared even with the insulation on. There is a small indentation in the insulation, but fits just fine..

You may need to clock the head unit so that it is more flat across the top
