Hopefully this is the correct forum to post my situation. I have a 2018 Mustang GT Convertible w/ PP. Last week a guy backed up into the drivers side headlight area of my parked car. There was what appeared to be damage to the headlight lens, parking light lens and several areas of the bumper. HOWEVER, I had the front of the car wrapped with Paint Protection Film after I first bought it and 95% of the damage that I thought was serious was in effect the PPF that was torn or scuffed. In other words the PPF absorbed almost all of the damage. The bumper is fine as well as the paint on it and the headlight and parking lights assemblies are both good. The problem is the parking light, when looking at the front of the car, is a little loose and there is a finger width gap between the right end of the lens and the bumper. On the passenger side, of course the lens is tight and there is no gap between the bumper and lens.
So assuming the main impact was on this area and it pushed the parking lens back, does anyone have experience with this area of the car (perhaps you've taken the bumper off, etc)? Is there a bracket that holds the parking light unit in place that could've broke? I'm trying to get an idea of what might need to be replaced prior to going to a body shop. Hopefully not the entire bumper. Any thoughts?
