Parking brake handle removal

Anyone removed their parking brake handle? Admittedly I haven't looked at it yet but if someone has done it before that could let me know I'd appreciate it. Carbon fiber replacement going in.

I’m doing the same thing. I was told that after you remove the tie-wrap and boot, you just have to use force.

The leather on the grip/handle is on there permanently. It's basically just over a plastic piece. You have to pull the brake boot up and off to get the handle off

there is a small tab on the rear passenger side of the handle that needs to be released first but yeah it came off after that with a good pull. bastard was on there good.

circled it here. kinda hard to see from that angle but you'll see it when you remove the boot.

If you look at the circled part in the pic above you can kind of see a small tab that is part of the entire metal handle. The handle cover goes over the tab and clicks in. Not difficult to get a new cover on bit a real PITA to get off. I ended up making a small cut in the cover to get it over the metal tab. handle cover stays on fine even with that done.

How hard is it to get the boot off? I'm looking to replace mine.
