I'm not sure if it is just me, although I doubt it since I have accessed the site from at least 20 different computers and many different locations, but in every thread I look at when there are multiple pages, the pagination always displays an extra page number.

For example, if the thread has 4 pages it will show 1-5 on the pagination even though I can only access the first 4. Any attempt to click on the next page arrow or the number results in the current page reloading. I honestly don't know if there is actual content on the next page or it's just there to torment me, lol. I do frontend dev work in my spare time so seeing that is very frustrating! It's trivial, I know, but it is not logical. :headbonk:

It's a vbulletin bug. You should only see this in threads with deleted posts by users or moderators. Definitely should not be seeing it in every (or many) threads. Unless this is a different issue, you are not missing any content on the "phantom" pages.

Gotcha. I'll keep an eye on it. It may very well just be as you say and i don't notice it otherwise. Thanks for the quick response!

I think there is more to it than just threads with deleted posts.

I see this happen fairly consistently (not just on this forum) whenever the last page is one post away from creating a new page.

At this point there will be an 'extra' page that displays the same content as the 'current/last' page. Once the next post is posted and it legitimately creates the next page, the issue disappears - until it gets to the point that one more post will create another page.

Edit: I should add, the scenario above only seems to happen (as far as I can recall), on threads with many pages - not sure what number constitutes 'many'. But does not seems to happen on threads with lower page numbers.
