I don't know the difference in the weight between my paddle shifter torque converter/flywheel combo (stock) and a manual clutch/flywheel set up that is stock but I wanted to know if there is some way to reprogram the downshift throttle blip on my 2015 GT. It holds on too long when I am braking and I can't stop smoothly. If I was auto crossing or something where I wanted to downshift into 2nd or first gear, the throttle never does close comletely at first. It is free, not sticking either. It just seems like it's pedestrian in its casual, slow closing of the throttle blade. Maybe an emissions thing? I would like the throttle to blip like I would with a manual transmission, open and close. Just a quick blip and then close like every other car, fuel injected or carbed.
Its a cool feature for grandma slowing for a traffic light but for spirited driving, it's a pain in the butt. Any suggestions? I do have a programmer and can put one in for that if there is a fix available.
86k miles on it. No performance add ons as of yet either except a Roush air filter and cold air kit.
Thanks
Russ
