Hello All,

Sorry if this has been posted but I was curious with all the orders that have already been placed how many of you chose automatic over manual?

I myself have only driven manual except for my first car in high school which was a maxima for a couple of years, then I went on and got a s2000 and my current vehicle is a 350z.

I opted for the Automatic w/ Paddle Shifters on the EB Premium PP mustang I ordered because I think it's time to try something new, and I myself like paddle shifters a lot. I feel as though I'll at first miss the control given with stick, but driving in rush hour every day to and from work for the past 7-8 years with it has gotten kind of old over time. Anyways please vote and share your story!

Have owned an even split of AT and MT vehicles.

My 69 Vette is a manual and I love it. I find the auto in my 13 V6 a bit dogish. I don't like the shift points and how it will go to the rev limiter and die off.

I prefer the control a manual offers in a sports car and opted for it in my new GT. Once I have a truck or sedan to DD, that will be an auto. For performance, MT all the way.

I was going with the automatic for convenience until I realized you couldn't get any performance options with it so I went with the manual.

Sorry I'm a little confused by your message, are you meaning the performance package? I'm not sure if it's different for the GT's but for the EB premium I ordered mine with AT with performance package. Everything that gets included on the MT performance package also seemed to be included with mine on the order.

GT coupes cant get the auto + PP. I voted auto because 6r80 > mt82. Id prefer to have a manual maybe, but having a tranny that can handle 800hp from the factory is pretty nice.

I see what you did there...

For me, my past two cars, 2007 Fusion and current 2008 Honda Civic, both were/are manual. Fell in love with the control you get from it, and it keeps you focused and alert in my opinion.

My 2015 GT 401A Ingot Silver GT PP will be manual as well.

That's weird they wouldn't offer the performance package with AT for the GT yet they would for the EB. I know you get a few more options with the GT PP that maybe prevents them wanting to offer it with AT? Either that or they just figure not enough consumers would option the PP with AT on a GT.

If I was getting a GT that would be a deal breaker for me and I'd stick with the MT just so I could get the PP.

Couple reasons went with Auto: (1) so wife can drive it too (2) looked like a lot of fun (3) try something different

biggest downfall: PP not avail with auto.

Sounds like the same exact reasons I got mine, I only have driven manual so the girl hasn't been able to drive my past two vehicles and can become a problem at times when I use to take her car out and she needed to get somewhere.

The paddle shifters looked fun to me, used them in my brothers 370z and got to test drive a friends GTR at my university a year back and fell in love with them then. Obviously the dual clutch in the GTR will be different from what is offered in the mustang.

PP luckily was available for the AT EB which was my plan to get from the beginning so that worked out nicely, if I was getting GT I'd have to get MT since PP is a deal breaker.

Having had Manual Trans in the past....and having tried some paddle shifters in other cars...I realized how good they are...fast..and the new stang shifting in the video sounded crisp, exact and quick. AND...I can drink a cup of coffee in traffic.

It was a mental struggle but don't think I'm going to be disappointed.

Me neither man, I drive my MT Z to work everyday but everything else I do I drive in my girls AT Camry. I basically spend half my day driving in MT and the other half in AT, so it won't be much a "jump" going to the AT in the mustang.

The video from Ward with the EB PP with paddle shifters pretty much erased any doubt I had when ordering mine with AT because it did look crisp and quick which is exactly what I was hoping for.
Did you get yours with the performance package also? Either way can't wait to get my baby :headbang:

Hey Brian...Yup...I just posted up on the new order forum.

Got the pretty basic model Eco Pack....Auto...all the rest works for me.
Will have stripes added at dealer when it shows up.

The excitement is catchy! Congrats!
