Order Number ????

I picked up my Order Confirmation late yesterday afternoon on an order I placed last Tuesday. I just noticed this morning that the Order Number is: 9999 and a Priority of: 99

That can't be right can it? How soon should I get a real Order Number?

It has been input into the system an order with priority #99 will never get scheduled. I would go to the dealer and ask them to resubmit it.

Correct, but if the inventory manager is going to place it against a future stock allocation, he is using those numbers as a reminder to order the car. Also, they may have not got a warm fuzzy the OP would come back. Give them a small deposit and I'll bet it jumps to the top of the list. Lots of possibilities, but I'd definitely ask.

Priority code 99 tells Ford to not build that car. 99 can only be input for a stock order for dealer inventory. Once the dealer changes that # to something in the 20-79 range, it will eventually schedule. Retail orders (special orders for customers) can only be given priority codes in the 10-19 range, FYI.

The order # 9999 is fine, though. Any four digits can be used. Go have the dealer reorder the car as a retail order and you'll be fine.

OK. I now have something called a DORA, whatever that is. It has a 10 Priority number on it by still no order number

Priority 10 means it's first on the list of retail orders to be submitted. If it's a Job 2 order (which it probably is this late in the game) you might not be getting scheduled immediately, since Job 1 orders still have yet to be scheduled.
