Just though I'd share this with all of you,,.
At present, we're planning on getting an EcoBoost Premium as a kind of retirement send off this coming June. Now for the story;
We recently purchased a new Jeep Cherokee to replace our 2010 fully loaded F-150, as we wanted a smaller vehicle with better gas mileage. During the search, we also tried a Honda Accord Coupe with a 6 speed manual tranny. Now,,, my wife hasn't driven a stick in well over 30 years. She was a bit apprehensive at first, but quickly fell right back into the pattern and really enjoyed herself, lol.
We were toying,,, with the idea of getting the Accord coupe next year. But when I saw the new Mustang with a price just about equal to the Accord, to me, it was a no-brainer!
I showed the new Mustang to my wife who at first, seemed mildly interested. Well,,,, it's gotten to the point that over the last few weeks, she's gotten more and more into wanting the Mustang. So much so, that now she's continually configuring the car on the internet site. :doh: It has to be Ruby Red with the premium red accent interior with just about every option. And she now even wants the Performance Package which I didn't want due to a possibly stiffer ride. :shrug: (we both consider a comfortable ride as a top priority!)
It's quickly becoming obvious that if we do go through with this purchase, this Mustang will clearly be her car! And I'm tickled about her having so much enthusiasm about it!
We'be been married for 42 years, and in all that time, I've never seen her so worked up about any car! At this point, I'm even more excited that she's developed such an interest and passion for the car then my desire for it! I'm really looking forward to seeing her behind the wheel for the first time with that all too familiar 'Little Girl' smile on her face. She's my world and in these later years, my top priority is her happiness,,,. :first: Thanks for listening,,,. ;)
