On and off air conditioning

I have a 2021 convertible GT. The air conditioning works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. And sometimes it starts off not working then comes on all of a sudden. No pattern I can discern. And the blower makes noise when on high but is quiet on lower speeds. Any ideas before I get skinned by the dealer?

First, I'd never go to a dealer for ac repairs unless it would be under warranty.
I'd find a good local mechanic or shop that specializes in automotive ac.
As to what it could be? Anything from low refrigerant, an obstruction, failing compressor, failing sensor or something electronic in the controls. I'd speculate that the load blower is a separate issue. When was the last time your cabin filter was changed?
