When I was a little kid, I remember seeing them on Sunrise Hwy and Merrick Rd. fairly often, back and forth from Baldwin Chevrolet (AKA Becker in the 80's) to Joel's Motion shop nearby.

So, I have a friend whose family owned a Ford dealership from the 1920’s until 1969. The dealership was Pletcher Ford aka “Fordtown”of Jenkintown, PA. Here is a few pics from the Mustang launch at the shop from 1964-5. Notice the cowboy girl. Look at the Shelby Cobras in the showroom! Many! In the front is a GT350. Thought these would be cool to post.

My old Ford dealer in NJ

Funny story. Many, many years ago I had to bring my company car in service. Called my secretary and told her I was going to Fette Ford. When I got back to the office a couple of co-workers asked if I was OK. Seems like she heard Betty Ford, not Fette Ford.
