Just did the first oil change. Noticed the oil is now heating up faster than previous. I would say takes 5 minutes to get to 180 in normal driving. Previously it seemed like it was 10-15min to get to 180/190...This normal?

Has the weather been warmer?
Mine takes forever to get to 190 in sub 65 degree temps. In 75 to 80 degrees it takes hardly any time

Also, did you check your oil level with the dipstick? Can't be too careful after a ford desler service

Wasn't paying attention to weather temps last week...got the oil changed Friday and has been 60s/70s this weekend where I'm at. This morning was high 50s and took about 5 min to reach 180.

That's strange...
It's the same oil as what was in it from what I know...unless he put in something else!!?

Well if oil is at the right level and it doesn't get over 190, i say you have nothing to worry about.

I'm assuming your engine is still in the process of breaking in, so that might be a normal caractheristic .

Yes I did, both times I took it out to make sure it wasn't heating fast due to less oil. both times were at top hole.

We WANT temps to be around 190 before we stomp on it. What's the max temps we should be concerned with 220?
If it's getting up to temp so fast make sure you check your receipt, he may have put in the 5-20 like the other fella mentioned. It's also possible it's still wrong. If you check dipstick 5 -20 should be super thin.

It's been cold by me, mid 40's recently, maybe 50's. I haven't seen a temp above 170 yet since I got my car out two weeks ago...
In cold weather in normal driving on a 30 min (highway speeds) commute to work oil never reached 190 and hoovered at 170. LOL the VooDoo really doesnt like the cold.
