Oil separator draining question

Went to drain my oil separator today and noticed the oil was a light brownish color not the normal dark brown. I've been told that it's normal due to the colder months and condensation in the motor. Just checking to make sure that is true. Thanks.

yep i ran the billet catch can in my 5.7 hemis and it was always milky brown.
