Have a 2023 GT with digital gauges made to look like analog.
Myquestion isdoes the oil pressure gauge actually measure pressure or does it assume pressure based on rpm’s and engine temp?
thanks!

Haven't really dived into digital dashes, but with the base cluster oil pressure is just read as "low" "normal" and I think "high." Might be different as I think the digital cluster displays a proper gauge?

Either way, the PCM gets a signal from the pressure sender/sensor and relays that to cluster. You can view raw oil pressure reading from PCM pids with Forscan if you need a numerical reading.

Take a photo of the sensor plug. If it's 3 wire it's both temp and pressure. Given that I just bought one for my GT350 and the fitment has an A and B part number and the B has fitment for most models of mustang I'd say it's true pressure value.
