This gizmo use quite a few parameters such as water/oil temperature, time, engine rpm’s, etc to calculate when your next oil change is due and is quite sophisticated but lack a fundamental parameter..: the type of oil you are using. All calculations must be based on the factory fill and obviously a full synthetic oil would have longer intervals. Surprising that Ford do not offer an oil menu to account for that
I only track my car and drive it to and from the track and usually get the change your oil at 1500 miles

Alot of logic built in a car is based on certain parameters of how it was built and its intended use. If you move away from that, you should make the necessary adjustment on your own to account for that.

Can't really blame Ford for not testing their OLM on the hundreds of different oils out there and adjust their logic based on the minute differences for each.

Agree but a simple option of conventional or synthetic would suffice

Curious as to how different oil life might be of the 2 When driven in an extreme environment, tack ?

Bet the track levels the field life wise, if the factory OLM is the driver's guide. Full race duty, 500 miles. If it were possible that a team would run the same motor the following week. My money says whatever oil type used conventional or synthetic. There would be fresh oil in that motor minimum.

The OLM is for the average driver that only changes oil when told, and some ignore that.

1500 miles changes, heavy duty driving, there could be little difference, conventional or synthetic .

The only real way to know, run conventional and synthetic take oil samples read the results .
