I'll try to keep this short.

 • "Change oil soon" light came on late Jan,
 • Insurance expired Feb 1
 • Haven't driven ti since except 2 weeks ago around the block to keep everything moving, battery, etc
 • I drove it again a couple days ago around the block and "oil change required" light is on. I THINK it said change oil soon before, or maybe it only says oil change required?
 • I still don't plan to insure/drive it until about another 9-10 days from now. Is it ok to sit like that until then? Or (car noob question) does "bad oil" sitting there a problem?
 • I changed the oil at 10000kms, now it's at 18000kms. Don't track it.
 • Ford does my oil changes..not planning to do it myself, so that's why i'm asking as well.

You're fine. Don't obsess about it too much. Once you get it insured and back on the road, go get it changed.

Yeah don't stress it man, you're good. It is not like you're out beating on the car.

So um...think it'd be ok to do a couple of 0-60 pulls before I get my new tires on if my engine oil thing is still on? I'm trying to see fastest 0-60 time and compare to new tires.

clevernickname You'll more than likely be completely fine. Ford recommends 5k miles and youre just barely there. If you're good until 7k, they will state 5k to be extra safe and to provide maintenance more often.

IMO a few pulls won't do anything just make sure you aren't low on oil or anything.
