We had a Spring meetup:Competition Orange u still got those rims? I am in Cbus also, looking for a set of 18's that fit over the big brake kit on the PP, want 18" to run at mid-ohio, the 19" are just too big and heavy.
Anyone ever do a cbus/central Ohio meet up? Seem to be enough S550 owners around.
jfurg, I did my own exhaust work, use ramps for the front of the car and I jacked up rear, easy peasy. IF still need the work done, and you want help, happy to give you a hand, save you some cash.
Yep, still have them. I just got done with a weekend at Mid Ohio. So much fun.Competition Orange u still got those rims? I am in Cbus also, looking for a set of 18's that fit over the big brake kit on the PP, want 18" to run at mid-ohio, the 19" are just too big and heavy.
COOL! Yep, it was a new 991 generation 911 GT3. He and I had been going at it all weekend, with me putting the distance on him all but his last session of Sunday. He struggled in the turns, where I was pretty decent, and he pulled bus lengths on the straights. A couple of times I thought I was going to rear end him because I closed the gaps so fast in the turns LOL. He finally got a few decent turns in a row, and I had to let him by, and his straight line speed was enough to let him go bye bye.Competition Orange hell I saw you there then! I was there also yesterday. Wasn't racing, my son was taking a teen driving class. Saw you and that white 911 racing back and forth. I stopped by ur ride in the paddock area to look to see what wheels tires you were running since I will be bringing my stang up there for a course. I so dont want to run the 19" wheels, too heavy, 18" would be so much better, but need to clear the PP brakes. Looked at your car to get ideas:-)
Pairing them with Nitto NT01s if I go 18x10s or potentially Rival S if I go the wider CF5s.I will be glad to get some cool nights. The coolest it has been around here at night is 85strengthrehab its been Texas hot here the last week. Yesterday in the sun sucked at the course. I kept sneaking off to get in the air conditioning and jug a bottle of water. I was going to go the Honda Indy 200 or whatever they call it also this weekend.
If you can get infield parking, then the gt350 will be ok. Otherwise you're parking in a field.who else will be at mid ohio this Saturday?
Anyone confirm what kind of parking is available, torn between driving the gt350 or f150 up there.
Thanks. I appreciate the offer but I'm good to go now.Competition Orange u still got those rims? I am in Cbus also, looking for a set of 18's that fit over the big brake kit on the PP, want 18" to run at mid-ohio, the 19" are just too big and heavy.
