I have my seat & side mirrors position programmed on button #1 on the drivers door, I also have this function programmed to the keyfob so that when I unlock the doors, it sets the seat & side mirrors (it may also do the rear view mirror) to my presets if they were moved. Anyway, lately when I unlock from the keyfob, the drivers side mirror makes a clicking sound as it moves to the top most angle then back to my preset and it repeats this several time. Last week, the passenger side mirror started doing the same thing. It's intermittent at the moment so taking it to the dealer would be a waste of time.

Has anyone else experienced this?? I'm thinking of disconnected the battery and let the BCM relearn. Thoughts on that??

Thanks

My mirrors have been doing the same thing. It's mostly on the passenger side but occasionally happens on the driver's side as well. When it first started it would only happen about once a month. Now it happens for every three or four times I get in the car. It'll be going to the dealer next week. Hopefully they'll be able to determine why it's happening.

Hey Sanders,

Please PM your name, VIN, mileage, dealer, and best daytime phone number. I'm going to look over some available options on my end to see how I can help get your 'Stang back to tip-top shape. Talk to you soon!

Hey pctek and Justpassingas,

I'm not a trained tech, so I'm not able to diagnose, or provide a possible repair. If you decide to schedule an appointment with your Ford Dealer to have this looked at, please let me know, and I'll gladly look over some resources on my end to see how I can help.

Nick

Fix?? Well, not quite. The YouTube video only has the sound it makes. There was another video posted here that actually showed the mirror moving to the top position and kept moving to the top along with that sound. I have the sound recorded on my phone, but I haven't been quick enough to get a video of the mirror getting stuck.

Does anyone know if this issue ever made it to an actual TSB?
