So my co-worker and I both have S197 4.6 GT's. His is an auto convertible mine a manual coupe. I have an EB manual with PP and he has an 09' WRX. We're both curious as to which of our own cars is faster. For me the 07 GT or the EB. He'd like to know how much faster if any the WRX is than his 05'.

Through discussion we've decided to run each other's cars against each other so we can determine where they all sit. We'll each drive both cars against the other car to try and eliminate driver proficiency. So in order for us to run them all against each other, 2 runs each that'll be 12 runs at the track. Should be a fun evening if we can get all the cars there on the same day and its not too crowded.

The only hiccup could be that we both travel for work and may not been in town at the same time for a month or more depending on schedules. Looks good for the moment however so it may happen sooner than later. New clutch goes in my 07 next week so hopefully right after that.

Honestly its really going to come down to what mods if any are done with the cars. In stock form id guess the Ecoboost and 07 GT being on top.. with good Tunes id have the Ecoboost and WRX on top..

Since you have the manual Ecoboost gonna have to practice launching it.. with the automatic transmission you can break boost at launch.. its a bit more tricky with the manual.. have to hold in the clutch.. then with your left foot hold the break with the back half of your foot then at the same time Tedder the front half on the gas rev it to about 2200rpms to build boost and launch.. THe WRX even if the launch is messed up will make up for it with its AWD system.. all in all sounds like fun!!

We already know from a roll the WRX and EB are dead even. I personally think the 07 GT is fastest of the group but not by much if it is.
And at the moment all of them are stock. Surprising but true.
