Evening all,

Just wondering if any of you know of a good body shop or tinting place around Manchester or the North West, to get my windows and stripes done when the beast arrives?
Id rather go for somewhere that comes recommended.

Definitely let me know what you think. What are you having done?

I'm sure I saw a video on youtube of someone getting his stripes and windows tinted in Manchester....but can't find it now.

Dual wide stripes with pinstripes over the top and rocker stripes. Fingers crossed its a top job.

Exactly what I'm planning on doing to mine. Got a magnetic coming in a couple of weeks, so going for black stripes with a white pinstripe. maybe rocker stripes too.

Whatever you do avoid http://www.wrapvehicles.co.uk/ like the plague. They are based in sale and did a terrible job on my rear lights.

They have avoided all contact ever since.

I can't remember who I used but they did a decent enough job, somewhere behind Old Trafford - I supplied the stripes from Bigwormgraphix. I'll see if I can find them again.

Thanks,

The other slight mod I'm considering is having the black plastic trim (skirts and front and rear splitters) done gloss black rather than the matte plastic.
Anyone know if this is even possible? I was guessing they might be able to wrap them in gloss black?

Its possible; stevec has done it. Also, this from Maoilearca on the steering wheel thread https://www.facebook.com/groups/UKMustang/search/?query=splitter

Snorty got his carbon dipped.
A few others have them done on facebook.

The way to do it is take the plastics off, prime them so they're flat, and then paint them gloss black. Easily do-able :) Wrapping doesn't work as they're textured, air gets under, and causes it to bubble, If you want it wrapped, you have to get them levelled (primed) to a flat spot first.

I bet they look great carbon dipped and gloss. I just think the gloss look on Magnetic would looks really mean. Anyone got any pics other than from that post on Facebook?

Any idea how much a mod/body shop would charge me to do something like this?

local bodyshop did mine.Well happy with it and get plenty of good comments.
Had to remove all the trim and smooth them right down before paint. Cant remember cost but I will ask him tomorrow.

dansaleh I've confirmed my date for stripes to be fitted, which is Monday 7th Nov. I'll pop up some pics and let you know how I get on with them.

Looks amazing Steve! I love the gloss look on the trim, adds so much class!

I've decided on dual gloss black stripes with silver pinstripe down the outside GT350 style.
Do any of you guys know how wide the GT350 stripes are though?

Here are the guys who did mine, just did the fitting since I supplied my own but they said they could have made them up themselves. They had Revo's LHD Ecoboost in when I took my V8 in.

EDIT: Revo not Roush...
