Just got back from the vehicle wrapping centre in Leeds, I can't recommend them enough, certainly know what there doing, did a great job, can do designs for you so could work out more cost effective than importing from Big Worm Graphix for example.

Alex Conway is the Design Manager at Leeds but I'm sure if your looking to book into the Manchester centre he will still be happy to help.

I'll post some pics in the next day or two.

Thanks Bronzetooth! Cant wait to see some pics.

I'm actually collecting the car tomorrow. Have been chatting to Vehicle Wrapping Manchester, who were recommended to me by a good friend who had his Audi R8 wrapped with them.

They're going to put some vinyl stripes on for me, but I wanted a pinstripe down the outside too, which they can't seem to do.
Have any of you guys done a pinstripe? Is it usually done with another piece of vinyl or is the pinstripe a separate tape?

Not a very good wrapping place if they can't do that.
I have metallic grey with a white pin stripe. Mine was done by a window tinting company so you think a wrapping company should easily do it.

It will be a separate bit of vinyl if a different colour and they will use a "no knife" tape

Maybe I didn't explain particularly well.
They can do it, they just seem to have a number of different ways of going about it, either printing up some custom vinyl for me, using a thin strip of vinyl for the stripe or using a pinstripe tape.
Just wondering which option others with pinstripes had gone for.

Pinstripes can be bought separate, or just machine cut to the width required. I assume they won't do PS's as they haven't got the machines to cut them exactly the same width all the way up.

The ones I got from Big Worm had the pinstripe ready cut & attached at the right spacing to the rest of the stripes - ie. on the same backing paper at the right width.

Yep, but wrap companies will have vinyl sheets, you can either buy sheets of pinstripe, or cut it from the standard vinyl, if cutting from a vinyl sheet you need to make sure it's consistently 'Xcm' in width all the way otherwise you have missized pinstripes. Usuaully can be done with a machine, but if they don't have them, bit more of a pain.
Then actually applying a pinstripe it has to have the same 'raw paint' gap between 'it' and the main stripe body, but that should be fairly simple for a wrap company to do (Lay down specific width of painters tape, and put the vinyl alongside it)

BWG product is spot on, especially if you want a pinstripe. There will be companies out there that can do this with a degree of success.

As with others, I'm no expert, just the 4 cars that I've applied stripes/graphics to and the best product always comes on the same backing paper, 'painters tape', whatever the hell that is, I guess he means masking tape, is not the ideal solution.

Stripes on a car, and with the Mustang, this is the case, are not parallel in width, Super Snake for example are wider at the top of the bonnet than the front for instance, this is to give the impression of uniformity.

Width that is parallel can make the stripe(s) look weird.

If anyone is thinking of dipping their splitter, diffuser & side skirts, I have a spare set of the stock plastic variety. You could then get the work done without interfering with your car, then just take yours off & replace them with the finished article (& then return your stock set to me, or pass them on to someone else looking to do the same). Postage would be impossible, so it's collect only (from M3 jctn 3, or a mutually convenient location).

That's a great offer there  If only I was closer :(, maybe we could 'work them up the country'

I'm down near Modurstang about 6-7 times a year, if this offer was there earlier, maybe could have met you there, oh well, he who dares and all that ;)
