Nitto invo tires

How are Nitto Invo tires for traction in the dry? Thinking about putting some wide invos on the rear since they make pretty wide sizes.

I ran them on my s197 and they had great traction. They didn't last very long though.

I'm riding on them right now, and they are good for dry traction, but they need to get some heat in them to really stick. After they spin a little bit, you'll notice the little stones on the road being picked up at that point.

I remember seeing a guy with a high HP Viper using these @ the 1/4 mile track. I think he was running 9's if I recall but not positive. Might have been 10's but either way it was a testament to their traction when heated up a bit.

They also have a very nice ride quality.

That's what I was hoping to hear. I want meaty rear tires but can't really justify drag radials 24/7 as a daily driver.

I am using the Nitto Invo currently. Love the tires but a little disappointed because I have 9500 miles on them and they are losing traction already :(.

Shiiiitttt.. More to tires then just treadwear (varies with each manufact)and temp rating. Id actually consider nittos to be just another chepa tire. IMO

I'm not sure what you have against Nitto, but they are far from a "chepa tire".

iirc they arent a very flattering looking tire. they look odd, like your tires are worn down prematurely.

I think there is a set on my gfs car. Ill check and verify.

the outer tread pattern is what turned me off the invo's. I wanted a meaty in your face tire and tire tread look. After seeing the meat on the roush cars and that tread pattern and the way it looked which led me to discovering the mickey thompson tires which are almost same thing as the cooper's on the roush cars...then I saw the price, I just had to give them a chance!

but lots of people like the invo's but if I was going nitto i would pick one of the others personally.
