OK, silly question. I put a set of the G2's on my son's '95 GT back in March. Of course he does the required burnouts at Mustang week this past weekend as any 20 YO would do. After chewing his ass about him wasting my money (we pay the bills while he is in school) and telling him the next tires are on him
addle:, we noticed that one of the rears had some huge chunks of the inside edge ripped off. It's about a 6" long area.
Is this something that can happen with soft compound tires being abused, or did he possibly hit something during a burnout that would have taken this chunk out?
I understand and expect premature tread wear (duh!) but for chunks to come out of the edge of the tread?? Byproduct of a soft compound tire?
