What's everyone's opinion on nitrous kits? What's the best kit and why do you think it's the best. Looking at a NX kit with the Maximizer 4. Any thoughts?

I have the NX kit. Works well but I do not have the Maximizer 4 you speak of.

I'm running Nitrous Outlet's plate kit on mine. Went with their plate kit+stage 2 accessories kit. This included all the extras you need like heated bottle bracket and purge stuff.

For controlling the nitrous I got the Innovate PSN1. It monitors bottle pressure, lambda, and window switch functions. You will need to tach adapter for it though, both injectors and coil signals are kinda of dirty.

Another controller option would be the NOS controller.

It looks like there is more Nitrous use out there than these forums seem to suggest. I was begining to think Nitrous was a lost art. My last vehicle with N2O was a 1987 LX 5.0 and it is just as fun with my 2015 GT!

What shot are you spraying and who tuned it kenbidwell? What fuel you run?

100 shot tuned by Lund on 93 octane. I wanted 150 but Lund would not tune it without larger injectors, boost a pump and going to E85. Last year they would tune a 150 shot because they did tune my son's 2013 GT for a 150 shot but they seem to have decided to be a bit more conservative lately.

Weird, I could see why he would want you to have a BAP, but not larger injectors or e85.

For a 150 shot you really only need colder plugs and a tune adjustment. Maybe, and I mean maybe you would need a BAP if your rail pressure drops but many people run 150 shot with out BAP.

There is no need for injectors though, the fuel pill you choose should be the appropriate size for the nitrous shot you are running. Even if you run e85 as your fuel source, a BAP should maintain rail pressure and the appropriately size fuel pill will make sure you are spraying the right amount of e85 for the nitrous shot you are running.

Now if you were wanting to run a dry nitrous shot(which i never recommend on Coyote's) I would understand the need for larger injectors and a BAP.

Has anyone experienced fuel puddling or failure with any of these kits running a wet system?

I'm really thinking about getting myself a hundred shot . Question , with your Lund tune for the hundred shot , do you use the same map when you wanna race with and without the nitrous ?...

Yes, the same tune. It does not feel quite as peppy as the non-Nitrous Lund tune but it still runs well. I have gone back to my regular tune due to the fact that Nitrous is in short supply in the Tampa area right now. I will go back to it when it is easier to get.

Awesome , that's good to hear . I was gonna get long tubes but for The price and labor I'm gonna skip out on them for now and go straight to the nitrous .
