I nicked my 19" black rims on a stupid curb. There is also a bit of tire sidewall damage. I guess some people would call the damage minor, but not me. The rim does not need replacing, but how do I cover up the nick? I go to Ford accessories --- I went to the dealer as well---there is no touch up paint for the rims. There are 2 Ford blacks---ebony and another---for the car bodies. Someone told me to put black nail polish on the damage, so I did. I have never purchased my wife's cosmetics so buying it was a challenge. I assume with the first rain it will need redoing. I went to Auto-Zone --they have something called Universal Black. Will that do it?
I am feeling so low

I just went to Wal-mart(unfortunately, lol) and picked up an ebony dupont touch up pen/brush combo. Can't even tell it's there and it's like $8. Unless you plan to only drive it for like 4hrs on the weekends, this kind of stuff is bound to happen.

Welcome!

Smaller; tire has wall damage which I think is cosmetic

Does it look like this?
Smaller. It is silver colored under the black. I look this car so carefully, I always put the cover on, examin it a few times a day

I use a black sharpie. Do a couple coats of it.

Martin, unless you keep your car in the garage forever it's gonna get nicked. That's ok man. I nicked my 20" GT500 wheels on my '14 and really felt the way you feel. But I got some grey touch up paint and voila! As good as you can hope. Just get some black paint, it's all the same my friend. Use clear coat too.

That's not too bad. Maybe a little sandpaper/dremel attachment on the underside to smooth part of it out.

Yup, use a light grit sandpaper, clean it off, put on the paint a few layers at a time (let them dry), then put on some clear coat! Good as you can get without paying a pro.
