Ngauge testing before buying

Hey all, I am looking into buying an Ngauge, says new and unlocked. Is there a way to plug the Ngauge up to my Ecoboost to confirm this? I’m assuming the SD card needs to be installed too?

Go to settings and press view marry status. Should say married or unmarried to a vin.

And there are 2 SD cards. Do these need to be installed first before plugging in?

SDcards are only for storing memory and transferring it with a card reader into a computer. The actual device is what will be married not the SD card.
