Does this one fits the mustang ecoboost manual transmision?

According to CJ Ponyparts yes it does.

But i have been recommended to use a hair dryer so that the glue on the doublesided tape let go and will try this tomorrow before i make a final decision to sell it.

New GT350 Steering Wheel fitted. Easier than I thought and feels soooo good while driving.

For those who wants to know, the GT350 wheel is somewhat thicker from 9 and 3 below. Above feels and looks exactly the same.

I have the Ford OEM rubber mats, from CJPP.... they are great! Best investment ever ;)

Nope....sorry.

Managed to get the paddle extenders off using wife's hair dryer. Then 40 min later I had the new wheel fitted. Paddle extenders now also fitted again and a pic will come.

Must say, the GT350 wheels truly feels great while driving. Grip is sooo much better than the standard leather wheel.

The wheel is really looking great. Good to hear you're still having fun with your Pony. Ruby is really an awesome color, saw it at the last mustang meeting again. Shame it's really rare, or good for the buyers...

I'm still thinking about getting the GT350 wheel, but it's really quite expensive at the moment. Too bad I didn't order some when they were around 250$ a few months ago :frusty:

Yes, the Ruby seems quite rare....not like the Magnetic or Race Red, especially so in Germany :p

In Sweden I did see a Yellow one though. Never seen that on the road here, but I guess that's just a matter of time before that happens.

The GT350 Steering Wheel may be expensive (I paid $400 + $76 shipping + around €100 in tax) but it is sooooo good to hold. Much better finished than the standard wheel (which IMO feels like really cheap leather).

how hard was the install? I'm a bit wary of messing around with the wheel considering the airbag and it's explosiveness :D it looked like you needed to move all the "stash" from the front/controls over from the old to the new? so you basically bought "a shell"?

Well, in my case it was a little bit more work thanks to the extenders and auto but once doing its actually really simple! Took only 45 mins doing it slowly!

First and foremost, remove negative lead on battery! This also resets your adaptive auto and various sound settings, switches off your air cond etc. Need the 10mm socket for that.

1. Remove extenders, using wifes hair dryer to loosen glue of double sided tape.
2. Use a round long tool that fits in the holes behind steering wheel. Need a 24mm socket for this.
3. Pushing the pins releases the airbag. Disconnect air bag.
4. Unscrew big bolt for steering wheel and off it comes.
5. On an auto, one needs to move over the back of sthe standard wheel as this contain the harness for the paddles. Otherwise not as GT350 wheel comes with harness for manual as standard.
6. Move the bezels over and your done.
Remount wheel paying attention to the dit on steering column bolt and the arrow on wheel being straight.
7. Remount the airbag. Connect negaitive lead on battery.

Done!

Go for a drive and enjoy the better grip and higher quality grup that the cheap leather on standard wheel.

It may be necessary to do a wheel alignment afterwards as it may not have been perfect from the factory. Like in my case....only takes an hour and in my case was not easy to find a place thanks to the 20" wheels, but local Dealer can do it (same as where i took delivery from).

Oh, btw, there is an excellent video on here.....that helped a lot!!!!
