After all the rain we have had, i decided to give the Pony a proper wash. What a job!! I am completely finished, but at least it does now look like the day it was polished. :first:

Knowing my luck, the rain will show up later....always does after i have washed any of our cars!

For those interested, i use Iron X on the wheels and Chemical Brothers shampoo. All flies gone and super easy to dry.
Did my third wash yesterday and again no luck, water spots look bad... feel like starting over.

You need to get it detailed.
Yep I know, otherwise it's gonna keep being a pain in the ass! Will visit the dealer first this week to see if they will correct the few factory paint issues and weld dent's first, then have it detailed. This might give me some extra time to shop for a good shop that does the xpell ultimate wraps as I can't spend everything on this car atm, still need to live:frusty:

To be honest, they should!

I had an XC60 back in 2009 and dealer didn't hesitate to pick up the tab when he told me "you know who to call, invoice to me".....

Talked about it with the dealer and said if you have it paint corrected or polished anyway it's better we don't touch it. He didn't mentioned the invoice though!

Ive been informed a bit better by now also and closely observed about 15+ new mustangs so far, most of them have the same issue here and there, and it appears to be a build up of clear coat here and there. So polishing/cutting should fix it.

I'm scheduling my appointment later this month and have it done by the main chemical guys importer. After the wash, clay, polish it will also get 2 layers of Cquartz V6.

Sounds good

Since I had mine done, the paintwork not only look so much better, it's also a breeze to wash!

Also asked for carnauba wax or butter wax on top of the coat, but said it wont be necessary to get that wet look!

Anyway looking forward to it!
