Hi all

Just wanted to say hello. Been a lurker on here for a while as really like the Mustang and was really glad that we were getting a RHD version.

Well after pondering for what seemed like an eternity I finally decided to place an order today.

I am taking advantage of the 0% and discounts available on the outgoing model along with ford privilege which makes it a performance bargain and have ordered the following
5.0 V8 GT Shadow Edition, manual, in Grabber Blue with a black roof to add a bit of contrast and to match the black accents with the wheels, badges and stripes along the bottom of the door and power bulge on the bonnet.

Can’t pick it up until the very end of June as current car needs to be retained until then so got a couple of months yet. I’m sure this forum will help me count down the days. Lots to read and potentially lots of things I could do to the car once I get it.

I have a small list of the things I would like to do, finances permitting.
Change the decklid
Bonnet gas struts
Would like to change some lights over to LED.(might need some guidance with this as not sure which ones are best)
Some new tyres once we got the cooler weather.
Maybe a new gear knob. Oooer missus

If you’ve got this far then thank you for listening to my rambling but I’m quite excited at the thought of getting this car.
I had 2 Mk3 Focus RS’ before this and don’t remember being this giddy lol
I just feel the need to have and experience a V8 before the powers that be ban them. ☹

Anyway here’s to many a happy time in my Mustang.

Cheers

John

Welcome, John! I'm also wishing my life away waiting for delivery. Pretty sure neither of us will regret it.

Welcome, I also decided to go for a good deal on the outgoing model. Grabber with black roof best comb IMO. I’m only 3 weeks into ownership and 2 trips up the West Coast of Scotland....... can’t stop smiling.

Welcome to the world of Mustangs! Me too BTW - I got a MY17 Shadow Black in triple yellow ... its fantastic! but .... do check EVERY inch of the car before you accept it - I have a few paint issues that werent picked up by the dealer before I took it and now I am chasing them to fix it - 2 months and still waiting!! also - go to a meet ASAP - I wish I had before I got mine... the other Mustang owners' experience is invaluable! (I went to my first Mustang meet yesterday in Yorkshire - great fun and great people!)

interesting that if you look back over all the people picking up on the (finally available) good deals on the older models most of them are grabber blue

Great spec choice (the black roof is good way of breaking up the colour) and agree the deck-lid change is a priority! Also, get the Steeda Mustang reduced clutch spring assist as the standard clutch has too much assist so as to feel distant.

Welcome! I changed out my spoiler the other day and it was a piece of cake! You def need to do this with a bright car and black accents as you mentioned. The worse and longest part was getting the old adhesive off. Looking forward to seeing it! :)

these guys used to have them in stock but they've updated their website can't find shit on there now https://www.fordpartsuk.com

give them a call though they were called something like "herpa print full body stripes"

if they can't get them may be worth while talking to autotintz in bentley see if they can do them for you.
