Now that I've had the same coat of wax on the car for a few months, I think it's time to reapply (I have a glaze and wax but no sealant, and applied it about 3 months ago).

Is there a way to remove the wax or do I just wash and reapply over whatever might still be there? I may get some sealant as well this time around, which I didn't have the first time.

You don't necessarily need both a sealant and a wax, but we need to understand what product exactly you are calling each to determine that as there seems to be quite a bit of confusion.

If you do use a sealant and a wax, the wax should go over top of the sealant (and won't last terribly long, which makes it confusing on a non-show car).

If you want to remove what is left, wash the vehicle using a dish soap like Dawn liquid which should take care of most of it. The decontamination phase (IronX, ClayBar/Nanopad) should take care of anything left and leave you with a properly prepped surface to wax, unless of course you want to polish before you seal/wax in which case by all means yes do that but decontaminate first.

If what you used the first time was wax it's probably long gone by now. If you are going to use the same product no need to try to remove the previous application of the same wax.
