I am getting a non-custom pack motor, but am considering the nickel lustre wheels, so might be willing to do a swap with someone who wants the black ones.

Good to see the improved official combined cycle fuel economy figures based on the GT Auto of 23.5mpg

I think it previously said 19 or 20mpg on the ford UK website. Thats an increase of about 17.5% Which ain't bad. Its 1/2 a mile to the gallon better than the official figures for my '99 Jaguar XJ8 3.2

And yes, I do know that this isn't 'real world' figures (which apparently doesn't match the figures that car manufacturers publish according to the news this week - I expect everyone was as shocked to hear that as I was !?) but it does give you something for comparison.

A U.S. gallon is slightly less than the UK/Euro unit, so we should be able to squeeze a bit more out of our gallons, plus I think the fuel is slightly better than the stuff in U.S.

That said, fuel economy isn't really the reason I ordered a GT.

Yes the same happened me too, best bet would be to see if your local dealer has the new ones in stock and get one there.

Tell you what. I have word on this laptop, access to the internet and this forum. I reckon I could knock up a brochure for Ford tonight before bedtime, get it to the printers tomorrow and get it out there
