Go for a 17.

Unless you want a 16 track pack.

My car consumes 1/2 qt per 1500 miles, which is pretty easy.

I could understand if that 500 mile was for cars that are tracked. But for that to be the acceptable amount for normal street use is ridiculous. Currently mine burns about 1 quart every 3k miles. I have about 6300 on the motor. Hopefully mine doesn't do what yours did at 9k miles.
Tracking has nothing to do with it. You are compounding the myth.

Mine doesn't use oil even when tracked. I beat on mine mercilessly. No issues so far. Mine is a 2016. Bought it new.
Exactly. Has nothing to do with track use.

I had a 16 track pack and now a 16 R. No oil consumption issue on either car (street/track).

Warranty is transferable to new owner even the extended warranty.

Every time I've checked my oil after a motor sports event, the level didn't change to barely changed.

These oil threads really need to stop. I don't want to be a dick about it but as @Tomster said, there's entirely way too much speculation, people not actually gathering data, and then drawing nonsense conclusions.

I'm just trying to get information and I'm sharing my thoughts about why I think there may be this or that in regards to oil consumption. Just because your experience is different from mine, doesn't mean my opinions are nonsense. I'm trying to figure out why I am/was down 3.5 quarts only 3,000 miles into a oil change period. It's good that your motor doesn't consume oil. But don't dismiss me or others like me who are experiencing oil consumption and trying to figure out what to do next with regards of taking the car to the dealership to get it documented or should I just let it grenade?

Add mine, 16 track pack to the list that have not used oil, even after 2 HPDE sessions... I can show you the 1 Quart of oil I bought for top-up, it is still sealed. Now sitting just above 12k miles, still not using oil.

Nobody is dismissing you. However you just drove 400 miles and had zero oil loss. You are not consuming oil. Your data point is relavent and helps others to look past this oil consumption hysteria.

Fair enough @Tomster. I was going to ask about the muffler bearings and blinker fluid but I guess I just refer to the manual or youtube.

Sorry if I offended, but if you just drove 400 miles and there is zero oil consumption, you don't have a problem.

Take care

If I remember to do so, I'm going to document my oil. Where it is on my dip stick before and after track days. Then also on the drive back home. I FULLY believe there are Voodoo engines that have oil consumption issues. I FULLY believe they should be warrantied if the engine is eating half of its oil in 1000 miles. I also believe people get too hysteria charged before sitting down and thinking through things too though. There are so many variables involved but yet no one has really had any concrete data points other than assumed data points. Some are probably reasonable to a point. But others are probably entirely too estimated and should also be dismissed.
