Thanks BmacIL, that's very helpful. I'll be running the PP rear bar until I decide to change the car's balance.

How is your car at corner apex? A touch of understeer? What tire setup are you running?
At the moment it's Blizzak WS80 snow tires

It's dramatically improved at corner apex. You can feel the car rotating about the middle of the car and it keeps wanting to go faster and tighter. The car gives you 100% more confidence to push it in corners because of its balance and the amount of roll. I've said this a couple times, but it feels closer to a small, light RWD car like a BRZ than a big Mustang. I'm sure it's still a touch of understeer at the limit in the warm & dry, but that's good for a high power RWD car. Square tire setup helps with that, too.

That's great news. I hope the full 350r setup works just as well! You mentioned you're running a square setup, can you tell me your wheel sizes and tires? I plan to use 19x9.5, with 275/40s all around.

I have a BRZ on Konis, and it is fantastic. If the GT turns out like that, I'll be ecstatic.

Two left rear GT350 springs fit like a charm! My car is all set up with GT350r springs and Koni yellows at all 4 corners, and ready to rock. Btw, I had a tune done at the same time, and the car is pushing 422 rwHP on 94 octane. Yeehaw, spring can't come soon enough ...

I don't know how to post pics on this forum, but I'll give it a shot later today.

Thanks!

It's snowing right now, so it'll be a while until I drive it in anger. I just got the call from the performance shop I work with, so I don't even have a first impression yet! I promise you, as soon as I get to the track you'll hear about it.

As a reference, I have a 2013 BRZ on Konis, and a 2016 Focus RS. Compared to those two, the standard PP felt soft and a bit loose. The RS is firm, almost uncomfortable, with stellar feedback; the BRZ has amazing damping that never seems to get flustered. The BRZ suspension is even better than an e92 M3 I owned. I'm hoping the GT will be as good as my BRZ. Probably some alignment tuning to come first.

FYI, front 350r springs are $38 each in Canada. That's like, $5 US? Rears are $135 each, or $100 US. $346 total CDN, $260 US.

Steeda Linears are $469, or $350 US.
Can you post the part numbers of the springs you chose? I have checked levittown and fordparts.com and there are multiple part numbers listed for the gt350R

I used FR3Z-5560-C GT350R left rear

I don't know if part #s are different in Canada, but I doubt it.

I would go stiffer spring and less bar on the driven axle to ensure you can keep load consistently on the inside tire, as well as improving stability over single-wheel bumps while cornering. I am running the PP rear bar with 085 rears and the car does not feel like it needs more. It's very flat.
This is precisely why I'd rather increase spring rate (which I did) than get an even bigger aftermarket sway bar up front.

OK, so DaSilvas used a GT350R SN from a friend's car to order the springs. I asked Matt from DaSilva to check what the "-T" meant from BmacIL's post, and he is trying to find out. BmacIL's info is usually gold ...

We think the various spring PNs are being rolled up into one number, but Matt is checking with Ford Canada.

So props to DaSilvas. They're getting nothing out of this, except this is the way friends treat friends. If you feel so inclined, drop them a line to say thanks.

BTW, Matt is a phenomenal tuner; he got 424 dyno proven rwHp out of my 2016 with a JLT intake, 94 octane, and custom SCT tune. 415 on 91 octane.

I can all but guarantee you that the C-suffix spring is not the GT350R. It is a base car, and I'm not sure if GT, EB or V6, but it's not a Shelby part. T and P are the rears, but we don't use the right side on a non-GT350, so you would use two T's. Another indicator is that the spring label (on the spring) would have SVT on it.

It is possible they have revised the suffix for 2017, but it isn't a 5560-C.

They ordered the springs for a specific GT350R serial number, bought in Canada. Where does your info come from?

OK, that's not so bad. I'll check if mine came with the SVT tag.

We did find that there were at least 6 part numbers listed for GT350R rear springs, that's what lead us to use the GT350R serial number to be sure of the spring part #. So, we didn't order from a catalog, we called Ford Canada said we need a left rear spring for GT350R, serial number #####. This is what they sent, and it appears correct - minor drop, and much stiffer than the PP spring we removed. Cost was right in line with what you referenced ($100 US = $135 CDN).

If I end up with massive understeer at the track, I guess I'll revisit this!
