Where have you seen that the PS4S will be priced lower than the outgoing PSS? All of my searching has shown slightly higher prices for the new tire model.

Thought I saw it a month or two ago but at that time could not find any pricing info.

If you have info suggesting otherwise that would make sense.

Does anyone know will the 305 30 20 have that similar stretched looking sidewall design as the current MPSS?

Hi there

OK so the rear tyres arrived today, the Ferrari K1 Michelin PS4S in 295/35/20, some pictures:

So they look like regular tyres to me, here is the specification:

Wet rating: B
Fuel rating: C
Noise rating: 73Db
Link to buy: http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rs...rd&Label=C-B-73-2&details=Ordern&typ=R-332849
Tread depth: 6.95mm
Treadwear: 300
Traction: AA
Temperature: A
Load: 105Y XL
Week: 1016

When the 285/35/20 none Ferrari just regular arrives, I shall post the same information and a picture of the two tyres next to each other to see if there is any obvious tread pattern change.

If I get chance I shall also weigh the two tyres and this Ferrari tyre seems surprisingly light for such a large tyre.

But it seems like any other tyre, load is correct, XL is correct and being 300 treadwear its the same rating as regular PS4S I believe, certainly matches MPSS anyway so even if it does start live with slightly less tread these tyres last so damn long it don't matter. ;)

Great info! Thanks for sharing some pics of an actual retail sample. I'm jealous that we won't see them in NA for a little while still. I'm very curious to hear how you like them after your initial driving impression.

You lucky dog! Those look great.

Funny that tirerack.com doesn't have the 295/35/20 listed as a size. Only the 295/30/20 which I don't want.

EU gets them first, simply as Michelin is based in France I think and of course K1 is Ferrari tyre which is also homed in Italy.

There is 305/30/20 available now in the UK too, I know as my buddy got those for his car.

Michelin also told me later this year 295/35/20 will come without Ferrari approval, so just regular or Porsche/regular approved tyre. :)

Well the rears certainly fit very nice, no sign of stretched sidewall, infact they are a little chunkier than MPSS. :)

Fronts should be delivered later! :)

Looks great, Gibbo! Are you running a 10" wide rear wheel?

11" :)

Fronts are 10" and currently 275/35/20 MPSS which do look very slightly stretched, I have 285/35/20 PS4S coming for the fronts.

My buddy Jon who works reviewing tyres for a living just published his review of the 4S on an E92 M3 which is a very similar car to the Mustang:

I cannot give any performance data other than NVH and road noise has reduced switching from worn MPSS tyres. :)

There will be no difference in tread pattern. There will probably be a difference in tread width, depth, load rating, and possibly sidewall (but not likely). This is the same on the PSS line.

This is great info. Great video, too.

I sure hope they get these 295/35/20 and 285/35/20 tires in the US ASAP as I need to replace mine soon and this is what I want. I prefer a 305/35/20 but...if Michelin 295 4S is wide, I am fine with that as it seems to fit perfect on your 11" wide wheel.

The 295 is very wide!

I measured it, off the wheel the tire was 310mm wide, on the wheel it was 320mm wide.

So PS4S carries on the upsize as per MPSS was. So a 295/35/20 PS4S is like a 305/35/20 other tyre brand for footprint. :)

I got 305/30/20 and 255/35/20 on order through tire rack. Can't wait to get them in. I went with the 255 in the front because the 305/30/20 is a ~27 inch diameter tire, whereas the 275/35 or 285/35 would be about 27.5 inch. While it's a slight difference, but a larger diameter front tire would look a little off.
