Just ordered a 2016 Mustang GT with the Performance Package, but I have a few questions. Since I live in New York, I need a front plate, the Sto N Sho plate doesn't really seem too appealing to me, especially if I were to lower the car. Is there a plate frame that I can stick to either side of the car by the fog lamps? I don't want to drill any holes in the front of the car. Another question is tread wear lettering, it looks bad ass but I haven't been able to find Tread wear letters for the Pirelli tires. Lastly, anyone running the Flowmaster Outlaw Catback exhaust? Thinking about making that my number 1 priority for a first mod. Thanks!

sto and go is the best option imo for you front place state guys. you won't tear it up if you lower the car, just like you won't tear the bumper up if you pay attention

Alright I figured that, there's only one thing I'm worried about with the sto and go is at school. We have these annoyingly big speed humps and the drop is at a terrible angle. I try to take them slow but theres impatient college girls that get pissed when you don't get air going over them. I feel like my plate it just going to get ripped apart or i'll take off the entire bracket.

My buddy in Mexico has the flowmaster outlaws and doesn't like them. The drone is ridiculously loud apparently.

I'm in NY as well, Sto n Sho mounted slightly to the driver's side, car is lowered on Steeda Springs, it scrapes the plate at the bottom, but only a bit. Kinda like that it warns me.

I have a Flowmaster American Thunder Cat back and it's plenty loud, but no drone. It's a good compromise without getting the wrong attention.

That's what I'm scared will happen especially with these annoying speed bumps at my college. I don't want to rip it off but I guess there's only way to find out and that is to buy it. I'll check out that exhaust I only really looked at the Outlaws and the Ataks. Thanks for the input.

Craig's Custom Brackets is another option - it mounts higher than the Sto-N-Sho and doesn't require drilling any holes. It mounts to the upper side of the lower grille opening with some insanely strong 3M tape. The plate can be removed or installed in seconds with a single knurled nut, which you can replace with a NyLock nut if you want more security.

I live in Washington State, which requires the front plate, but I have never driven my car with it on. I installed the bracket - which is almost invisible unless you are looking for it - and keep the plate on my passenger side floor behind the seat. I have been pulled over once for no plate (by the State Patrol - funny story) and just showed the trooper that I had it, and offered to put it on right then. She just said "Make sure that you get it taken care of".

I told her that I got the removable mount because the front plate gets torn up by the car wash, and that I must have forgotten to put it back on after the last time.

Worked for me.....

Hahah thanks for the option! I'll check it out. I might go without a front plate for as long as I can get away with it before I put one of those plate brackets on. It looks so much better without a plate anywhere on the car

My car is lowered and the sto n show plate works fine, does not scape at all.
