I’ve not seen many mustangs on the road so it’s great to hear from you and we got a matching set lol. I did manage to go to a mustang meet up at the ace London cafe but the turnout was low so was a bit disappointed as was super keen on any hints and tips or things to avoid. So far google and these forums have been my go too. How long have
You had yours for and is it your “daily driver” ?

Welcome! Great looking Stang. I’m partial to black also. Almost time for her hibernation here in the north. Enjoy the experience!

Had her since May this year. Always wanted one and was massive fan of the capri back in the day (had 12 of them). My neighbour had a 2016 GT so popped over one day and asked a few questions about his. He threw me the keys, off I went and that was it. I had to have one so traded in my Jag within a couple of weeks and got my 22 GT with only 6.5k miles

She is my daily driver but I dont do more than 4k a year typically.

I go to an American car meet every month in Lancashire (would be a bit if a treck where you are though ha ha) but that is usually a good turnout with approx 40 to 50 cars at each event. Its at an American style diner so the other people visiting the diner also come over and have a look at all the cars too.
Met some really nice people at these meets. Its nice when everyone has the same passion and they are so helpful.

Bottom pic is her on pick up day. Other pics from when ceramic coated and showing off a few of the bits I have added to personalised a little. Namely...

Orange pinstripe
Orange dot in the 5.0
Orange brembo stickers
Black (OEM) 5.0 badges
Black (OEM) Pony
Replacement back panel with "GT" lettering instead of the false filler cap look. The lettering is what is more common on the US cars and I prefer the look.

I just bought mine 2 weeks ago. I'm retired now and needed something that wasn't like the 2022 Lexus RX 350. My God did I pick the right car, because one is pure luxury and the other is pure power (however there are some nice luxury features on the premium Mustang). So it's a car to to go out and cruise around turning heads and making a lot of other cars owners wish they had one!

I have read that taller people have trouble fitting in a Mustang. I have a 2015 and I'm 6'-4", 220 lbs. and other than slipping into the seat and tucking my head down, I fit perfect. I have seat all the way down and I actually have to move the seat up (from all the way back) a fair amount to be able to push the clutch in.
Once I'm in, it couldn't be any more comfortable. Maybe the earlier models were tighter.

Also I have invested in some 3D floor mats off Amazon. They are much better than the ones that came with the car (not sure of the brand) because they were very slippery when wet. The 3D mats are way better at keeping your feet where you want them and they are a perfect fit.

Oh I hear you on luxury vs power. I’m retired too and did have a jag all fully loaded and was my comfort cruiser and blended in with the “normal folk”. Then boom had a moment of clarity and sold it and got my 2020 GT and knew it was the right choice as she’s a beast and actually really comfy on the long drives and yes a super head turner for people that know what the car is. At the moment she’s on trickle charge in the garage as I’m not well at the moment but will hopefully get behind the wheel soon and go for nice long drive and open her up a bit.

Hahaha oh my lord if your jag was the eye catching blue then I’m gonna freak out. I got my son to cold start the stang yesterday as I upgraded the exhaust and boy was she loud. So when I got the stang in Feb this year I just had to do a few upgrades to make it more personal to me

1) exhaust and cold air intake (Roush closed box one)

2) stage 1 Dyno tune (that’s in my profile pic)

3) New carbon fibre steering wheel with the led’s and little screen

4) UPgraded breaks and pads as needed it a little more stopping power on the brembos

Very scary! Jag XF R sport. Mine was the 250 BHP Diesel model. Had the 20inch alloy upgrades and the larger infotainment screen with DVD and premium sound etc
Who needs a decent stereo when you have a V8 soundtrack though right ha ha

You are so spot on with the radio vs windows down and listening to that V8 burble. It’s super addictive just zoning out listening to it while cruising in traffic and getting the nods from other drivers drooling over your car lol. Seriously you are scaring me on the similarities haha
