Family road trips in the Mustang? Yeah that will work if your "family" has a population of 2. The back seat in the Mustang is good for storing your sunshade, backpack, or a small dog or 2. That's it.
My 8 year old son doesn't mind it...perfect for our threesome! ;)

I used to own several fox body mustangs when I was younger. I like the looks of the Mustang over the charger/challenger and camaro. Having a small 4 or 6 cyl plus turbo scares me when you think about long term reliability. Again this car is to help keep miles off the Pilot. So yes this car would see 10 min to 3 hour drives more then anything. I have a 9 yr old boy who loves the thought of having a "fast" car. My 14 yr old could care less and is a teen who is either with her friends or in her room. All of us are under 5'10" so head room and leg room should be pretty safe.

Most cars that have been on my list have a good forum presence and mods available.
I wouldn't let turbo 4s and 6s scare you. They are pretty darn reliable these days. With turbos being water and oil cooled, the longevity has gone up. Modern turbos should see no less than 150k or 200k miles before they give up the ghost(seals). The only potential concerns I see are LSPI, which is being researched, and carbon deposits on some cars with direct injection.

Thanks everyone. Vato yes I am the same and tat is why I have't pulled the trigger on a car yet. I have a truck and Pilot so no need for utility. More of a decision between a 2/4 door sports car/sedan.
