Hi everyone. I have a question in regards to the safety and issue I seem to have been having on the road on my new used 2016 ecoboost. I was going to LA yesterday on the 101 and was going about 80 mph when I hit a few speed bumps and the car seemed to jump and want to pull from under me. I just would like to hear anyones feedback or see if anyone else has had any similar issues.

OK, so......1st, welcome to the forum and congrats on your new to you Mustang. 2nd, its so funny to hear 80MPH and 101 in the same sentence. 3rd, you hit speed bumps at 80MPH and your wondering why your car felt unsettled. You might want to think about this for a moment. 4th and last, presuming that there actually could be something wrong with your car get it checked out ASAP. Bad tires and/or wheel balancing, alignment, bad struts and/or shocks, suspension damage all could lead to what you are feeling and potential failure.

Lol yea your right after I re read that it didn't sound as good as I first though. But thank you for the warm welcome. And your right I shall take it in and get it checked out. Wouldn't I have at least one sensor go off for this though? I have an OBD2 scanner and checked and it only came back with a P051A error, which I will get to later. Also would you recommend a local shop or the ford dealership for those check ups?

None of the potential issues I mentioned would throw a code, so an OBD2 won't help. I'm in SC so i'll let a SoCal member help you on a dealer/servicer. Good luck and let us know what you find out.

I had the same issue when hitting bridge expansion joints at highway speeds and adding cradle lockout kit fixed it (it also helps with wheel hop). Below is the link to the BMR kit that I'm using and Steeda has its own version as well. Provided that you don't have any other suspension or tire issues, this may do the trick. Do a forum search for "Cradle Bushing" and you'll see that it's one of the most popular mods out there and it's easily reversible if you don't like it.
