Hello Mustang forum! Took delivery of my 2023 Mustang GT Convertible this week (transported to my house, custom order). I noticed a couple of things as I was removing the plastic covers and checking the car out. Figured I would ask here:

Rear passenger seat: I believe there is something wrong with the upholstery, maybe a factory defect? Looks like the upholstery does not "stick" to the seat and is puffy at touch. You can clearly see a difference between the rear driver seat and the passenger one. None of the other seats have that issue.
  • Have any of you experienced something like this? How would this issue be taken care of?
  • Have not encountered this before on a new vehicle. I am surprised it was not noticed during pre-delivery inspection.
Convertible Boot side Cover Panels (which hide the convertible top mechanisms): My vehicle came without them, is that normal for 2023 models? Here is what they look like: https://www.ebay.com/itm/303600156734 or https://www.fordpartsamerica.com/oem-parts/ford-panel-cover-fr3z7631005cc.

Thanks in advance. Both excited and a bit saddened at the same time-- Hoping the rear passenger seat issue is an easy fix, but definitely not ideal for a new vehicle.

Regarding the " Convertible Boot side Cover Panels ", I don't believe they've been provided for some years. I found a set on eBay for around $70; you may find a set cheaper than what you showed.
I agree that the rear seats need some attention, but it doesn't appear to be serious.

Thanks for your feedback @Dai Uy Ted . Will look for cover panels soon. Might eventually go all bonkers and body paint a spider top cover 😆 (https://www.clinchedflares.com/shop/st-s550/2015-ford-mustang-spider-top/)

Regarding upholstery, agree. Currently working with the dealership with whom I placed the custom order to document and reach out my local service department so it is reviewed and addressed. Not the end of the world by all means, but cannot wait until it is taken care of!
