need purchase advice

So I have a car on order but won't be delivered until the winter and therefore will be placed in stores until spring. Found a local dealer with a dealer order car and slightly higher adm but they claim build date is scheduled for 9/8. I need to make sure the deal is legit before giving a non-refundable deposit. They gave me this window stick and a vin. Is there anything else I should be looking for to make sure they aren't stringing me along to get a non refundable deposit and then cla they made a mistake about the delivery date. Attached is the quasi window sticker ( I say that because the pricing and epa #'s are not on there.

That vehicle shows a blend date of 7/2015.......That car is built. Delivery is not clear yet as no vehicles have shipped apparently. Could be late sept/early oct. delivery.

Get everything in writing and then your deposit is safe.
The deal, car, price, specs all. if they don't deliver, then they would have to refund your deposit. Easiest way to be sure, put it on paper.

AFAIK, there is no non-refundable deposit. If the vehicle arrives and there is something you do not like about it, you are not forced to take delivery. I think this also holds true if you change your mind at all.

It's been a while since my last new car, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

That's a 16 model. I pretty certain that car is not built yet. Talked to FP today and according to them NO 16 models have been built yet????

But that's a low production #. If the ADM is not too much and things look positive? I'd jump on it.

Thanks again. Purchase order is written up that includes I may reject the car at delivery and receive a refund (this may be obvious but it helps to have in writing). I sat and checked their system to confirm build date. Car is priority 01 and production week 9/7/15. White with ott blue stripes / tech package and cover!

Congrats!!! you have the vin, so you can call Ford Performance at 800-367-3788 hit option 1. Give them the last 8 of the vin and they can confirm the scheduled build date for you.

Just don't be surprised if they give you a later date than what you've been told. Mine has been pushed back several times. But hopefully they tell you the 7th is good. Cause mine will be closely behind yours.

^ True. The build dates have been getting pushed weekly so far according to FP.... and don't fret or get bent out of whack because these are target build dates, not set in stone guaranteed dates. Quality checks and other internal procedures are part of the process... so it's good that they are not out to bumrush in the production phase. I know it's frustrating at times... but hey I'm still waiting for my '15 so we all just have to persevere a bit longer. It's part of the chase/fun!
