I don't know what he did to be honest . I bought him the little timing plug thing for Ford engines.

And no clue about a crankshaft tool. No he deff didn't use a tool. Just hooked up back up. Same way as I just did.

There you go, thats your problem. Do some google research on how to set it up, you have to find TDC with the crank stop, then use the alignment tool on the trigger wheel. Its not gonna be fun in the car BTW.

It's messed up that they'd use a "Circuit failure" code for an alignment issue. On the Subarus they use a "performance issue" code for a misaligned component.

On this deal the tool when on the sensor sets the height and the rotation as well. So it could be way off and as the engine spins it might not even see any trigger. It just has to be done correctly, even if it did run.

PM your email address and I'll send you Ford's engine assembly instructions. It shows you how to use the tool to properly set the CPS. You'll have to have the CPS tool, TDC peg, M6 bolt, etc to do it properly. You can't guess at the CPS positioning and your mechanic should have known that.

And not trying to sound like a dick or anything, but if your mechanic didn't know about the CPS sensor, then that'd make me wonder about the rest of his work. If he has access to Alldata or similar and checked it, he'd know what he needed to do.

That's the boost control solenoid, I believe.

Boost solenoid has 3 hoses, one harness and is mounted on the front face of the motor.

Guys u won't believe this. The crankshaft position sensor was on backwards!!!! He out it on backwards so I did the same thing and was looking on a Mazda 2.3 forum and I noticed the picture of the piece was switched. So I switched it and fired right up!!!!! Just have a coolant line that needs to be fixed and I'm all good!!!!
