Since Michelin doesn't offer 305/35/19 in the new Pilot Sport 4S tire I'm trying to figure out what rear tire size to go with. They only offer 305/30 or 325/30 in larger size for 19" rim.

I have on order Project 6GR 19x10/11 staggard set up so I'm going 275/35 in front and would like to get 305/35 in back.

I have a GT Premium (non PP) w/ 3.55 gears. Roush supercharged. BMR handling springs/yellow konis

I'm thinking my options are:

1. Go with 325/30/19 4S in the back. (I really don't want the tires to have more bulge look from the wheels plus more expensive)

2. Go with previous generation Pilot Super Sports in the rear 305/35 & 275/35 Pilot 4S in front

3. Get 305/30 Pilot 4S in rear (26.3"). Could I go with 275/35 (26.6") still in front or would I need 275/30 (25.6")? (I really don't want to go that little of sidewall)

Looking for suggestions or feedback from these options or any other options I haven't thought about yet..

Thanks!

I was trying to figure out sizing for my pp wheels over the weekend with my buddy. We realized how short these tires really are after looking st specs. Positive about he mp4s is the sidewalls are much bulkier than most other brands...my 30 series looked like a 35 on my Audi. Problem is if you are lowered these tires will drop you another .5” or so depending on size. I really need to figure it out myself too. Sorry for the non-help lol

Your right on the edge with a 325 on a 11" rim. I do love the look of that size, maybe look for some pictures to see how the bulge looks? I personally don't mind a little bulge...keeps my wheels safe.

The 275/35 305/30 route is probably the safest route. A third of an inch won't be noticeable and can be made up with a couple psi of air pressure.

As far as 275/30's I like a little more sidewall than that. Sounds like these tires run conservative size wise. It gets to a point where you have to worry about uneven pavement or moderate size stones making contact with the wheel. My 265/35/20's are become problematic at lower psi.

I had 325/30/19 and i liked how wide they looked but i would have preferred a taller sidewall to fill up the wheel gap a little better. I was gonna get 305/35/19 for my next set of rear tires but i sold the wheels.
I would get 285/35/19 front and 305/35/19. I loved the way 285/35/19 looked on the front wheels.

I hear you. I pained for months over tire size and MPSS vs. MP4's. I finally went with the MPSS in 275/35/19 and 305/35/19. The 30's just seemed to short. Eventually I hope they come out with the MP4's in these sizes, but for now I am very satisfied.

They are putting 30's on the new PP2 and it looks great. However, they are a Cup2 tire with 305's up front with magnaride and shorter springs so it sits lower stock, so not sure if that would be a good comparison.

Even with the 35's, I immediately lowered the car as just the 1/2" diff from the stock Pzeros the fender gap was too big for me. I used FP street lowering springs to my PP and they did the trick.

Took a few photos at lunch for you - though in the side shot photos the gap looks a little more than in person. I think it is because you normally view the car from regular height and not squatting to take a straight on pic!

Wheels are SVE 350 19x10 and 19x11. No spacers, no rub and no tire poke.

Hope this helps!
