I have the catback setup of Borla ATAKs. The sound this thing gives me when I'm 1/4 throttle is exactly what I want. At 1/4 + til WOT i don't like it. It's not the loudness I don't like, it sounds straight piped. I don't like it. I'm looking for more of a deeper rumble or just not a straight pipe sound.

Would changing the X pipe to an H pipe help?

I'll most likely gonna sell and get another setup.

Looking at maybe MagnaFlow 3" comp set up. Is 3" exhaust too much for a N/A car? Will being too big hurt anything?

Are you wanting something loud like the Ataks just deeper on tone?

I've heard it has lots of drone.
from who... all people talk about on this forum that 95% of these exhausts don't drone. only one that does really is gibson.

people just will never understand difference between hearing the tone and wanna rip your brain out drone.

Trust me when I say I have seen multiple complaints on this forum about the drone. It could be a slight drone. I am not trying to bash MBRP though.

My understanding is the MBRP Race and Magnaflow Race (or Competetion, whatever it is their loudest is called) both drone. I just installed the Magnaflow Street this morning. Now that is a deep tone exhaust! And not too loud either. And no drone, but you can hear it inside the car cruising. Not drone, just volume.

I have the magnaflow competition and I think that's the sound you're after. It does drone at 60-65 in 6th... other than that it's perfect. I don't drive in the 60-65 range often so it works for me, and if it bugs me I drop it into 5th
