MY18 Base R Question

I called that guy out also claiming to have ordered 2018r, and he gave a bunch of nonsense in a text. Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see.

only non R some dealers know what they getting. Your largest dealership will get the R or if they sell plenty of Mustangs they will give them allocations.

Question; are the MY18' Shelby's being built with the old front facia or the 18'mustang style?

Dealer I'm working with seems to think they can secure an additional 18'R. Depending on what facia the Shelby's have in 18' I may have to go look for a 17'. Not really fond of the new front on the car.

Agreed that an order for a 2018MY GT350/GT350R cannot be placed at this time since the 2018MY banks have not opened up.

Having said that many 2018 R model allocations have already been assigned to various Ford dealerships therefore putting down a deposit on a 2018 R model can be done quite easily.

So.... what dealers got their allocations already? I am not quite sure this is true. My dealer will get 18 MY GT350 but they do not know how many yet. They last had 3 GT350's and 1 R. I made them take my money and placed a down payment for a car that doesn't exist yet lol

Everything/one has reported that the GT350 will retain the 2017 front. Given that the front half of the car was redesigned for the GT350 and was very well received I suppose Ford isn't in a rush to try to redo the whole thing.

I know a friend that works at a dealership said they paid for there allocation to program. They will get a base GT 350 and most dealers should know he said was paid in Feb. for the allocation of 18.

Really don't care if you think this is the case or not but I can tell you that I was contacted again by another dealership this morning about a 2018 R allocation that I will be passing onto a good friend of mine.

I was first contacted on April 4th and pulled the trigger back then.

I would suggest that some regions and certain zone reps may get preference but that is only speculation on my part.

Hopefully with you already having a down payment on a 2018 R model at your local dealership that you will get some good news real soon.
