Just an observation I have noticed...I have been researching, pricing and test driving 2014 and 2015 Mustangs for about 3 months now...the old analogy of best time to buy is at the end of the month has gone out the window...I was offered a 2014 Mustang with barely any mileage a few months ago...price was 29,995...dealer went as low as 27k at the end of the month...I passed because wasn't crazy about the color (won't specify as to not offend anyone) a month passes...I watch the price on the same car...at the end of the month the price actually goes up to 31,795 and they sell it...speed up to this month...flagged and watched a few other prices...some 2015's as low as 27k...here we are again close to the end of the month and they are all back up to 31k...moral of the story is if you see one you like don't rush to buy it...track it and follow the pricing trend the dealers are creating...just my opinion

I set the pricing for all of the new vehicles at the dealership I work for. The old adage about waiting til the end of month for the best deals is long gone, as you noted. I typically lean toward more aggressive pricing at the beginning of each month to get the month started strong so that we don't have to scramble at the end of the month to hit the numbers Ford (and our management team) are expecting.
