Hey guys,

I ordered my car on 5/23/14 and it has been listed on the Cotus tracker as such ever since then. I logged on today as I have everyday since May 23rd but now my "ordered on" date has been changed to 9/9/14. What gives? Does anyone know why this would happen? I haven't talked to my dealer or asked them to change my order in any way. I just logged on like usual and now its changed to a 9/9 order date. I still have no VIN however and it still shows 'order processing'. Should I call Ford or my dealer or let it alone? Any ideas what the reasoning is behind this.

Has anyone else had this happen recently? Of course I'm hoping it's only to get me scheduled in for production but what if it's not?

Well 9/9 was the okay to buy date and I think the day they were resuming scheduling for orders. I'm not entirely sure however.

I just know that sometime in August they said orders taken during that month would not be scheduled until 9/9.

Sorry I don't know more, BUMP

I ordered on 05/21 mine wasnt on cotus until it was changed to a stock order. It now says ordered on 06/17 which was the date it changed to stock. Maybe that's what happened??? Ask your dealer maybe they can tell you.

I just called my dealer, he said he took it upon himself to change it up to dealer stock from retail because he thought I'd been waiting too long. That's really cool of him, though I don't know how much it will matter now or maybe even penalize me. He was saying how stupid he thought it was all of us enthusiasts have to wait behind dealer stock when we ordered months ago. He was a cool guy. He was saying how he was shocked he hadn't heard from me in months. I told him I was keeping up to date on here and didn't feel the need to bug them for things that I thought were out of their control.

If they have the allocation the week scheduling restarts, you'll get a VIN pretty quick most likely. From there, hopefully production will be moving and tilted toward Mustang capacity, which hopefully will net you a car sooner.

Good luck!
