Hi all, I am new to the mustang6g forum and was wondering if anyone could assist me on the issue(s) my car is having? Thank you
Vehicle: 2021 Mustang GT 10R80
Background: I bought the vehicle, brand new, with the Roush Phase 2 package from the Lebanon Ford Performance dealership
Current situation: I decided to switch the car over to a turbocharger system. I went with the ON3 single turbo kit. The kit is now installed. The Roush supercharger had the Roush tune and was tuned on speed density, therefore the vehicle did not have a MAF harness and was unable to read MAF. So we installed a MAF harness to the vehicle. That required a PCM reflash so that the vehicle could recognize and read MAF. I took it to my local Ford Dealership and they were able to flash the vehicle back to its stock as built calibration using the FDRS tool.
My local Ford dealership flashed it back to stock, ran all the self tests, and it currently does not show any codes. I bought a RTD+ device. I have successfully read and uploaded the current calibration file to their database, following the prompt directions on the device.
After doing that, I had the dealership read the car again and the results were: the PCM and BCM were offline but all others modules still communicated.
They flashed it again and ran the self test, the PCM and BCM came back online and everything was communicating properly. We did this 3 times at the dealership. I don’t know why that would effect the PCM or BCM, if im only reading the file and not pulling it for a flash??
I don’t know what I’m or the device is doing wrong. Everything it properly hooked up. Every time I read the car with the RTD+ device, it makes the PCM and BCM unresponsive. When Ford reflashes the car, the PCM and BCM become responsive again. We have done this three times already, with the same results
Does anyone here have any solutions or have been through a similar situation??
