Congratulations, mylittlepony! Welcome to the forum and the Ford Family. :ford:

Since you said you won't pick it up for a few weeks, did you place an order? If so, send me a PM with your dealer code and order number; I'll help track your Pony's progress. :)

Rachel
thanks Rachel!

I actually got it from a dealer but they didnt have the color and manual i wanted so they had to switch with another dealer. my family will pick it up for me this week once they have it delivered to the dealer.

i personally cant get it yet because im on business trip right now. but definitely excited to come back to that baby!

yes Rachel is great! Cotus was not giving me an estamated build date, and she was able to confirm mine is on the 15th. (subject to change) ;)

Yea and don't worry about what motor you got here, don't matter if its and EB V6, 5.0 or 5.2, they are all Mustangs in the end. Running with the heard since 1964 and trampling panthers since 1967 :ford:
definitely glad im able to join the heard 50 years later :p!

Congrats on the purchase. My first Mustang was a V6, it's no slouch. I went with a GT this time because it has been a long time since I've had a V8 in anything but a truck. Also the first 2015 I saw and test drove was Competition Orange, if you haven't seen it in person you will be blown away, the clearcoat makes it look like wet paint, very nice effect.

definitely not doubting the power of the v6, im driving 4 cyl toyota pick up so this is a tremendous upgrade. i probably couldnt handle the power of the v8 anyway, lol! jk.

i have yet to see it in person. im going to try to get some black wheels on it eventually. i think CO looks awesome w/ black wheels.

I just put some 19" black wheels on my gaurd green sixxer and it takes the base model factor out completely I can't believe how nice the interiors are on these things as a "base" I had a 99 v6 years ago and that thing was a complete pile of junk compared to this! But your going to love it I put 500 miles on mine and I've only had her a week haha

mylittlepony you are in for quite the surprise when you do actually drive it. That V6 is a sweet engine. You can get a very nice exhaust note on it too. Given the hundred or so pounds saved over an EB and premium trim, Manual trans (:clap2:), and slightly smaller wheels/tires your not far from EB's on the accelerative front.

That car is a hell of a road warrior and the powertrain is bulletproof between the improved MT82 and the Cyclone. I was nicely surprised by the trim of the base models too, a big step up from the S197's base interior. I drove a '13 for a week and it was just honey, loved revving it out

congrats

Congrats on your Steed, I have a competition Orange GT and the color is just awesome! everyone loves it. The V6 is no slouch and it's a respectable engine like everyone else is saying. Ford will influence demand for certain things based on a lot of factors hence why they are pushing the Eco boost. I personally went with the V8 because I've never owned anything with that much power and I wanted to go all out with this car.

CO GT is so sweet, its my wallpaper on my desktop haha. another reason i opted for the v6 was because i personally feel like naturally aspirated engines will outlast the boosted i4 in the long run. thats just my opinion and speculations from turbo boosted cars in general, im no expert on engines so i could be wrong about the ecoboost, but im sure the eb is still a sweet ride and not gonna lie the eb reviews were the reasons why i started looking into the new mustang and got hooked on it :ford:

enjoy your GT, with great power comes great responsibility

thanks! manual tranmission all day err day! base model is quite nice. the only thing i could think of changing right now on the base model appearance are the wheels along with some aftermarket fog lights

Congrats on the new (and your first) Mustang! It's crazy to think that the '15 v6's push out more HP than my '02 GT did. You'll love it.
